Pro Abortionists

Saw this quote earlier.. sums it up very nicely.

So I noticed everyone that is pro-abortion has already been born…

I’m Against Same Sex Marriage and I’m Not a Bigot

Quoted From Facebook

People who are against same sex marriage are being accused of bigotry and prejudice. But here is our question for the accusers. You say we’ve done something wrong. So where does the standard by which you are judging us come from?

And since it appears you think what we believe is objectively and absolutely wrong, your standard of morality must be objective and absolute. Otherwise, it’s simply your preference. But why get so upset about a difference in preference?

And this standard you are using to judge us appears to be outside ourselves, recognizable, and something we ought to be accountable to. Otherwise you wouldn’t be saying that we are guilty for not abiding by it.

And since you’re saying it applies to us as persons, it seems you are also implying that the standard, perhaps, comes from that which is personal?

But if you say it’s none of the above, and it’s simply your personal belief, then doesn’t it fall under the “private moral view” category that Judge Walker dismisses as inapplicable to the issue?

So if you still believe we’re prejudiced bigots, could you at least explain to us what you ground your moral standard in? Shouldn’t that at least be part of the great conversation in America over this issue?”

Random Enum in C#

I wrote this because.. well.. I can. 8D

If you use this code, please give Protiguous some credit. (Too bad adSense doesn’t allow one to ask for clicks. Because that’d be cooler!)

  1. Initialize a newly seeded rng with an overkill of LINQ.
  2. Initialize a thread safe access control.
  3. Generate a list of names for each defined enum.
  4. … and return one of those enums.

Here is some untested sample code:

enum ourEnums { One, Two, Three, Four, Five };

//I know we could use a for loop, but I love foreach so much more..
foreach ( var i in Enumerable.Range( 0, 10 ) ) {
Console.WriteLine( RandEnum() );

Note: If there are any uppercase/lowercase/typos… let’s just blame it on blogspot/browser/politics/etc… as always: It Works On My Machine.

And here is my sample code for returning a random enum in C#:

namespace Examples {
using System;
using System.Linq;
using System.Threading;

public class Example {

private static readonly Random oti = new Random( Guid.NewGuid().ToByteArray().Sum( b => b * b.GetHashCode() ) );

private static readonly ReaderWriterLockSlim otia = new ReaderWriterLockSlim( LockRecursionPolicy.SupportsRecursion );

public static T RandEnum() {
if ( !typeof( T ).IsEnum ) { return default( T ); }

var names = Enum.GetNames( typeof( T ) );
try { otia.EnterWriteLock(); return ( T )Enum.Parse( typeof( T ), names[ oti.Next( 0, names.Length ) ] ); }
finally { otia.ExitWriteLock(); }

A Big Blue Brain Bug!

An excerpt from BugBrain that tickled my funny bone:

Oh, yes… I have received a lot of questions like "So, what the hell is bugbrain?":-)

Well, in my early school days I had my personal molester (as every skinny guy with glasses, I presume).

One day he stepped to me, poked with his finger to my head and asked:

"No…?", I answered meekly.

"A big blue brain bug!"

"And do you know what he's doing?"

"He's starving!" he tittered, poked me again and went away.

And since then, I just cannot get this bug out of my head...

Tips to increase AdSense revenue

Here are some ways to help increase your AdSense revenue:

  • Promote your web site to get more visitors. More visitors should mean more ad-clicks. Try submitting your pages to multiple search engines and forums.
  • Cross link more of your pages to increase page views. More page views could mean more ad-clicks.
  • Tweak the AdSense placement. Does it look right to you? Does it look natural? Tweaking the placement could generate more clicks because the reader does not feel like an ad is being forced upon them
  • Use text ads if possible. They will load faster than images and blend better with more themes.

Curb Raping Women

Women drivers.
Why do they enjoy raping the curbs?
You know.. they take a right turn and they let the back (and on the really good drivers: the front) wheels drag slowly across the the sidewalk curb.

Usually scraping up the tire's sidewall and possibly even the wheelwell..

I just don't get it.
Don't women have an overall sense of the vehicle's position?

Oh well, love 'em anyways.. :()

No offense

FYI, saying “No offense” doesn’t make what your going to say or already said any less hurtful.

Level 79 Priest Outfits: SP vs Mana Regen

Here are my four outfits on my level 79 priest, at the moment.
The horizontal axis is my mana regeneration unbuffed.
The vertical axis is my spell power unbuffed.
The numbers literally go off this chart when I’m in a GOOD group.

You might ask…”So??”.
I answer: depending on the tank and the instance, I can choose to last forever tossing out low power heals, or heal hard and fast but need to drink more often.

I’d also like to thank the coolest page on the internet for generating this graph for me!: Wolfram Alpha

(Going from left to right using the names A,B,C,D)

Dot A: If the tank has terrible damage mitigation, and needs constant healing then I use this outfit:

( Pawn: v1: "Weighted": Intellect=2, CritRating=4, IsMail=-1000000, IsPlate=-1000000, IsLeather=-1000000, HasteRating=5, Spirit=3, SpellPower=6, IsShield=-1000000, Mp5=1 )

Dot B: If I’m going to take a lot of damage, or need a balanced spread all across the priest sprectrum, then I use this pawn scale:

( Pawn: v1: "OnePointPer": Intellect=1, Mp5=1, CritRating=1, HolySpellDamage=1, IsMail=-1000000, IsLeather=-1000000, HasteRating=1, Stamina=1, SpellPower=1, IsShield=-1000000, Spirit=1 )

Dot C: Just wearing the best items by Blizzard’s default ItemLevel. I enchant the best mp5 or spellpower available to the item. This outfit tends to be used when I don’t know the tank or the instance yet.

Dot D: If the tank moves fast through the instance and has decent damage mitigation, then I use this pawn scale so I can toss PwS and Renews all day long without slowing up the group to drink:

( Pawn: v1: "ManaRegen": Intellect=0.1597, IsPlate=-1000000, IsLeather=-1000000, IsMail=-1000000, Spirit=0.2432, Mp5=1, IsShield=-1000000 )

A Charitable Lawyer

A local charity office realized that their organization had never received a donation from the town’s most successful lawyer.

The person in charge of contributions calls this lawyer and says, “Our research shows that out of a yearly income of more than $300,000, you have not given a penny to charity. Wouldn’t you like to give back to the community in some way?”

The lawyer mulls this over for a moment and replies, “First, did your research also show that my mother is dying after a long illness, and has medical bills that are several times her annual income?”

Embarrassed, the rep mumbles, “Um… no.”

The lawyer interrupts, “or that my brother, a disabled veteran, is blind and confined to a wheelchair?”

The stricken rep begins to stammer out an apology, but is interrupted again.

“Or that my sister’s husband died in a traffic accident,” the lawyer’s voice rising in indignation, “leaving her penniless with four children?!”

The humiliated rep, completely beaten, says simply, “I had no idea…”

On a roll, the lawyer cuts him off once again, “So if I don’t give any money to them, why should I give any to you?!”
