A Big Blue Brain Bug!

An excerpt from BugBrain that tickled my funny bone:

Oh, yes… I have received a lot of questions like "So, what the hell is bugbrain?":-)

Well, in my early school days I had my personal molester (as every skinny guy with glasses, I presume).

One day he stepped to me, poked with his finger to my head and asked:

"No…?", I answered meekly.

"A big blue brain bug!"

"Oh!"

"And do you know what he's doing?"

"No…?"

"He's starving!" he tittered, poked me again and went away.

And since then, I just cannot get this bug out of my head...

Tips to increase AdSense revenue

Here are some ways to help increase your AdSense revenue:
  • Promote your web site to get more visitors. More visitors should mean more adclicks. Try submitting your pages to multiple search engines and forums.
  • Cross link more of your pages to increase page views. More page views could mean more adclicks.
  • Tweak the AdSense placement. Does it look right to you? Does it look natural? Tweaking the placement could generate more clicks because the reader does not feel like an ad is being forced upon them
  • Use text ads if possible. They will load faster than images and blend better with more themes.

Curb Raping Women

Women drivers.
Why do they enjoy raping the curbs?
You know.. they take a right turn and they let the back (and on the really good drivers: the front) wheels drag slowly across the the sidewalk curb.

Usually scraping up the tire's sidewall and possibly even the wheelwell..

I just don't get it.
Don't women have an overall sense of the vehicle's position?

Oh well, love 'em anyways.. :()

No offense

FYI, saying “No offense” doesn’t make what your going to say or already said any less hurtful.

Level 79 Priest Outfits: SP vs Mana Regen

Here are my four outfits on my level 79 priest, at the moment.
The horizontal axis is my mana regeneration unbuffed.
The vertical axis is my spell power unbuffed.
The numbers literally go off this chart when I’m in a GOOD group.

You might ask…”So??”.
I answer: depending on the tank and the instance, I can choose to last forever tossing out low power heals, or heal hard and fast but need to drink more often.

I’d also like to thank the coolest page on the internet for generating this graph for me!: Wolfram Alpha

(Going from left to right using the names A,B,C,D)

Dot A: If the tank has terrible damage mitigation, and needs constant healing then I use this outfit:

( Pawn: v1: "Weighted": Intellect=2, CritRating=4, IsMail=-1000000, IsPlate=-1000000, IsLeather=-1000000, HasteRating=5, Spirit=3, SpellPower=6, IsShield=-1000000, Mp5=1 )

Dot B: If I’m going to take a lot of damage, or need a balanced spread all across the priest sprectrum, then I use this pawn scale:

( Pawn: v1: "OnePointPer": Intellect=1, Mp5=1, CritRating=1, HolySpellDamage=1, IsMail=-1000000, IsLeather=-1000000, HasteRating=1, Stamina=1, SpellPower=1, IsShield=-1000000, Spirit=1 )

Dot C: Just wearing the best items by Blizzard’s default ItemLevel. I enchant the best mp5 or spellpower available to the item. This outfit tends to be used when I don’t know the tank or the instance yet.

Dot D: If the tank moves fast through the instance and has decent damage mitigation, then I use this pawn scale so I can toss PwS and Renews all day long without slowing up the group to drink:

( Pawn: v1: "ManaRegen": Intellect=0.1597, IsPlate=-1000000, IsLeather=-1000000, IsMail=-1000000, Spirit=0.2432, Mp5=1, IsShield=-1000000 )

A Charitable Lawyer

A local charity office realized that their organization had never received a donation from the town’s most successful lawyer.

The person in charge of contributions calls this lawyer and says, “Our research shows that out of a yearly income of more than $300,000, you have not given a penny to charity. Wouldn’t you like to give back to the community in some way?”

The lawyer mulls this over for a moment and replies, “First, did your research also show that my mother is dying after a long illness, and has medical bills that are several times her annual income?”

Embarrassed, the rep mumbles, “Um… no.”

The lawyer interrupts, “or that my brother, a disabled veteran, is blind and confined to a wheelchair?”

The stricken rep begins to stammer out an apology, but is interrupted again.

“Or that my sister’s husband died in a traffic accident,” the lawyer’s voice rising in indignation, “leaving her penniless with four children?!”

The humiliated rep, completely beaten, says simply, “I had no idea…”

On a roll, the lawyer cuts him off once again, “So if I don’t give any money to them, why should I give any to you?!”

Barack Obama vs. an Intelligent Little Girl

Barack Obama sits next to a little girl on an airplane trip. He turns to her and says, “Let’s talk. I’ve heard that flights go quicker if you strike up a conversation with your fellow passenger.”

The little girl, who had just opened her book, closes it slowly and says to Obama, “Okay, what would you like to talk about?”

To which Obama replies, “Oh, I don’t know. How about which Changes I Should Make To America?”.

“Okay,” she says. “That could be an interesting topic. But let me ask you a question first. A horse, a cow, and a deer all eat the same stuff – grass. Yet a deer excretes little pellets, while a cow turns out a flat patty, and a horse produces clumps of dried grass. Why do you suppose that is?”

Obama, visibly surprised by the little girl’s intelligence, thinks about it for a second and finally says, “Hmmm, I have no idea.”

To which the little girl replies, “Do you really feel qualified to change America when you don’t know shit?”

Pawn "GearScore" Scale

Here is a simple scoring system for a rating a player’s gear by using the Pawn addon for World of Warcraft.
(Check my other posts for a link to this awesome addon if you don’t have it already.)

Similar to how the GearScore addon works (from what I’ve read), this scale simply adds up all relevant stats.
Remember: it will only rate the potential of a player’s gear, not their skill level.
This scale does not place any value (bias) on where that gear came from, only what the gear adds to your character.

If there was a way for Pawn to rate enchantment procs.. now that would be way cool.
But this will do for now. 🙂

( Pawn: v1: "Score!": Intellect=1, ArcaneResist=1, FeralAp=1, FrostResist=1, ResilienceRating=1, Agility=1, ExpertiseRating=1, MasteryRating=1, Spirit=1, ArmorPenetration=1, FireSpellDamage=1, HolySpellDamage=1, Strength=1, Health=1, Hp5=1, SpellPower=1, Mp5=1, Ap=1, SpellPenetration=1, HasteRating=1, DefenseRating=1, Dps=1, FrostSpellDamage=1, BlockValue=1, BlockRating=1, Mana=1, NatureResist=1, ShadowResist=1, FireResist=1, ArcaneSpellDamage=1, NatureSpellDamage=1, CritRating=1, ShadowSpellDamage=1, HitRating=1, Stamina=1, Rap=1, ParryRating=1, DodgeRating=1 )

C# vs C++

Why do some ‘programming’ sites mix C++ and C# material?

I mean, come on! They’re not even close.. 😛

Any comments ?
