Multiple Sclerosis

For my friends suffering with MS..
(I’m so sorry; I hope this list helps you laugh.)

  • Your smartphone is too heavy to hold.
  • You’ve peed your pants.. yet nothing has startled you.
  • You’ve fallen off the floor.. before your first drink.
  • Gotten electrocuted.. by looking down.
  • If you’re constantly asking people to repeat what they just said.
  • If you’ve stood barefoot in the snow, and thought “Sure is nice outside!”.
  • You were able to get one line of grass mowed before you drop from fatigue.
  • Thought, “Seeing with only one eye isn’t so bad!”.
  • Thought, “Hey, how much can a 5 inch needle going into my spine really hurt?”.
  • If you’re constantly asking people to repeat what they just said.
  • If you’ve ever been paralyzed.. from sunbathing.
  • If the room starts spinning.. before your first drink.
  • People ask, “How much have you had to drink?!” when you walk around.. before your first drink.
  • People ask, “How much have you had to drink?!”.. when you try talking.
  • You laugh out loud when the officer asks you to walk a straight line.
  • Your mood swings faster than your therapist can write.
  • You suffer from depression and think, “I wish I only had depression.”.
  • You’ve read this list and everything hit too close to home.
  • You keep the recipe for PB&J nearby for when you forget how to make it..
  • You have pins and needles before a body part falls asleep.
  • Putting on your new glasses doesn’t make anything less blurry.
  • You have rapid eye movement.. and you’re not sleeping.
  • You can feel invisible bugs walking on your skin.
