Still makes me feel ill to this day what our “Law” enforcement officers did.
Shame. On. You.
RE: Amazon Pushes Facial Recognition to Police. Critics See Surveillance Risk. – The New York Times
It has a huge potential for abuse. And while I try to personally not commit crimes, I don’t want my whereabouts or my loved one’s whereabouts followed by some corrupt government official, law enforcement officer, or even an [evil] neighbor trailing (lusting) after my wife.
It’s easy to say “hey look! this new technology will catch criminals!”, but in reality humans behave like humans. Meaning 1% corrupt might as well be 99% corrupt.
I know cops say they don’t have quotas to fill, but I have seen (and personally heard) that they do. *Just for the Record: I support my local Officers*. (They’re good guys.) Having quotas (income to the department) to fill just makes the system ripe to abuses from those with low or no ethical standards.
I don’t even like to consider the potential for abuse by a corrupt government official.
But, it will happen.. and by then, I hope the entire world will learn better and ban the easy use of this technology, except for use in extreme cases of violence or criminal acts such as the murder of crowds of People. Or rapists.. God, I hate people who rape or kill.
Justices Approve Strip Searches for Any Offense – NYTimes.com:
Oh my goodness, this is just ridiculous!
And that ‘judge’ Kennedy says that 13 million people are admitted to the Nation’s jails?
According to Wolfram Alpha, the current population of the United States is 309 million.
13 of 309 million is about 1 out of every 24 people.
THIS IS HORRIBLE ! (Look at 23 other law-abiding citizens.. you’re next!)
Can this be constitutional? Let’s read what the ‘supreme law of the land’ reads: “The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.“.
Reads pretty clear to me. A warrant is needed to search a person. Any person. Any time. EVERY TIME.
What the hell.. don’t these ‘Judges’ read the Constitution?
I’m so flabbergasted that I’m not even sure what to say.
I have the right to say the numbers “09 F9 11 02 9D 74 E3 5B D8 41 56 C5 63 56 88 C0”.
And no law, no human, no sentient being can take that right away from me.
Fox News On UC Davis Pepper Spraying: “It’s a food product” – YouTube:
The chancellor.. he was just trying to feed these students…
You bitch. What right does any human have to inflict this upon any other peaceful human? None.
I hope when FOX ‘News‘ turns its back on you, that you remember pepper spray is only a ‘food product‘.
So my daughter introduced me to the crazy game angry birds.. 3 coffee pots later I’m thinking to myself, unsure if I’m saying it out loud, “die pig! die!“
And then the thought occurred to me, how long before some lame cop is walking by a teenager when the teenager says that very thought out loud?
Of course we all assume the kid has no idea the officer is even there, but with the police-state we are in, the
pig cop takes offense and arrests the poor kid for uttering a death threat…
These stories I read about the abuses from police.. it just disgusts me.
These are the officers who we are supposed to depend on to keep us safe!
